Rahul has over 16 years experience in financial products (equities and fixed income) as well as associated IT business applications and business processes in the front, middle, and back offices of large financial institutions. He has practical knowledge of the full software development life cycle with emphasis on requirements management, software architecture and data modeling. He has extensive experience in managing and delivery of global projects. As part of a microfinance practice, he has consulted on institution building, financial product development and business process re-engineering.
Rahul was most recently Director and Head of Financial Services at Idika Solutions where he worked with marquee clients including BNP Paribas, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch in the areas of equity trading systems. He also setup a microfinance practice and worked with World Bank, Grameen Foundation. He has served on the board of several microfinance institutions.
Previously, Rahul was Vice President, Corporate and Institutional Client Group at Merrill Lynch, New York, where he played a key role in the development and rollout of International Order Routing System. Prior to that, Rahul worked with Lehman Brothers, New York in various information technology roles developing systems in equity trading and fixed income derivatives.
Rahul holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. |
