Product Portfolio

Given that the amount of investment, time, and effort involved increases as we graduate from one level of the productization curve to the other, it is important for the BPO provider to choose the right level of technology intervention for each process cluster. Typically, process clusters in which the provider has proven competency and has maximum number of clients in the pipeline must be productized to the platform-independent workflow stage. Other processes are developed till the Lift and Shift, Point of View, or the Demonstration Center stage depending on market readiness and the provider's competence in that area.

The desired level of productization of chosen competent process clusters forms the basis for development of a mature Product Development Portfolio. The product portfolio specifies the process clusters that must be technology-enabled to create repeatable, replicable, and automated products that have industry best practices built into them.
